Late 18th.c. Oak Westmorland Dresser Base. c.1790.
Something special for this afternoon's post. This large three drawer oak dresser base is a substantial piece of Georgian country furniture probably produced in Westmorland (now Cumbria) toward the end of the 18th.c. Oak sides and drawer linings with original oak floor and panelled back. The handles are later replacements probably dating from the late 19th.c. Excellent patina, colour and condition.

18th.c Carved Oak Single Drawer Side Table.
Another interesting piece of oak furniture. This heavily carved single drawer side table is fresh on the floor this morning having had a little restoration in our workshop. The superb carved oak panels which form the top, sides, front and back of the table are 18th.c and probably began life in another form (possibly a 'bible box'). It achieved it's current appearance with the addition of bobbin turned legs and scratch carved stretchers at some point in the early 19th.c.

Late 19th.c Billiard Bench or Hall Seat.
This late 19th.c upholstered mahogany bench was probably produced for a billiard room, hence the narrow side profile. Whilst it sits very nicely next to our Riley snooker table (see Wednesday 7th April post) it is more likely nowadays that it will end up as a very useful hall seat. Excellent colour and condition having been repolished and reupholstered.
