Boxing Clever - Late Georgian Oak Mule Chest c.1800.

For a good sized piece of period oak furniture with loads of storage at a fraction of the price of a dresser base, coffers, chest and mule chests (featuring drawers as well as a lift up lid) are well worth considering.

As an example here is a good sized late Georgian oak mule chest c.1800. Solid oak throughout with panelled front, sides and back and a good flat top. Two useful drawers below. The original candle box is retained inside the chest. Excellent colour and condition.

Early 19th.c. Mahogany Chest of Drawers.

More images here of the late Georgian mahogany chest of drawers c.1800 originally featured here at the end of last week. Now restored and repolished and ready for another couple of hundred years of reliable service!

Small Regency Mahogany Chiffonier c.1810.

Small early 19th.c. chiffonier side cabinet c.1810, less than thee feet wide, with excellent flame mahogany veneers. Featuring a single drawer over a two door cupboard . Restored and repolished in our workshop, keys supplied.

Pair Art Deco Bedside Cabinets.

More new arrivals here at the warehouse. This is a good quality pair of Art Deco style bedside cabinets c.1930. with carved detail to the top and legs. Restored and repolished in our workshop to show of the grain of the burr walnut veneers.

Quality Georgian Mahogany Pembroke Table.

New for today this beautifully proportioned Georgian mahogany pembroke table c.1800. On fine reeded legs raised on the original brass casters. With a single drawer running the full depth of the table and retaining its original partitions. Superb quality timber retored and repolished in our workshop.

New Stock

Images here of a few of our recent new arrivals now restored and repolished. Amongst the highlights are a fine pair of Edwardian mahogany single drawer side tables and a useful later pair of tripod lamp or wine tables.



Corner Display Cabinet

An unusual new arrival this afternoon in the shape of this little Edwardian mahogany serpentine front corner display. Excellent colour and condition and great quality.

Yew Wood Windsor Chair c.1800.

For colour, quality and condition this is a Windsor chair which ticks all the boxes. The yew wood arms, backrest and splat are an attractive and collectible detail which raises this chair above the run of the mill. Add to that the curved 'crinolin' stretcher the unusual shaped arm support and the spectacular colour and patina and you have something pretty special to end the week on. I'll stop drooling now. More great stuff next week.


Georgian Pine Dresser

Another of this week's hightlights here. A large late Georgian pine dresser with canted corners, panelled sides and a well proprtioned rack featuring unusual reeded moldings.

Three Door Mahogany Sideboard c.1870.

Restored, repolished and new on the shop floor today is this very useful three door Victorian mahogany inverted breakfront chiffonier sideboard. With a single drawer, lots of storage space and retaining the original zinc lined bottle drawer. Excellent condition, keys supplied.

New Stock

Lots of new stock has been ariving at the shop this week which I shall try and list over the coming days. To start with here is a group photo of some useful smaller items including a good duet piano stool and a delightful child's Windsor rocking chair.


Also included in our recent arrivals is this handsom late Georgian mahogany chest of drawers. Beautifully proportioned and retaining its original feet and handles, I shall post again when it has been through the workshop.

Victorian Mahogany Extending Dining Table.

As Autumn tightens its grip on the weather and the nights get longer we can all console ourselves to the changing seasons and keep away the cold by spending more time inside sharing the warmth of friends and family and some good food. And here is the ideal venue for a jolly evening of feasting.

antique mahogany dining tableYou can comfortably seat 10 around this mid Victorian mahogany dining table or take one or two of the removable leaves out to reduce it to an eight or six seater. The top is solid mahogany, absolutely dead flat and in great condition having been newly French polished in our workshop. With a good carved leg raised on brass casters. The table opens and closes smoothly on a corkscrew mechanism which has been cleaned and overhauled. Handle supplied.

Mid 19th.c. Wardrobe and Press.

New for today this fine mid 19th.c. breakfront mahogany wardrobe press c.1850. With hanging rails to the right and left hand sections, drawer slides to the upper central section (these could be easily removed to allow more hanging space) above a useful bank of drawers. Gothic arched doors, good quality mahogany veneers, excellent colour and condition having been restored and repolished by us. Keys supplied. Note that for ease of delivery this wardrobe splits into several sections.

Early 19th.c. Charles II style oak chest of drawers with geometric applied molding to the drawer fronts. Oak drawer linings, panelled sides, original brass and attractive bun feet. Excellent colour and condition having been restored and repolished in our workshops.
