Early 19th.c. Cheshire Dresser.

First featured on the 14th of July, this early 19th.c oak and mahogany crossbanded open Cheshire dresser is now restored and repolished and out on the shop floor looking great. With attractively shaped doors in the rack, unusual turned legs and original handles.

Early 19th.c Extending Dining Table. c.1840.

Amongst today's new arrivals is this small early 19th.c. mahogany single leaf extending dining table. Opening on a corkscrew mechanism, with a very nice reeded leg and original casters. Just 59" long (including a 16" leaf), 40" wide and 28" tall. In unrestored but perfectly usable condition.

Mid 19th.c. Mahogany Dresser.

As if to illustrate the changes in dresser design during the 19th century we follow Friday's early base with this mid 19th.c. mahogany and pine example with Victorian glass knobs. Would work well as a sideboard without the plate rack.

Pot Board Welsh Dresser Base c.1800.

We'll end this week's blogging with a highlight. An early 19th.c. oak mid Wales potboard dresser base c.1800. Featuring good quality timber, turned front legs, original knobs and, quite unusually, the original oak pot board. Great colour and condition having been restored and repolished in our workshops.

There is ample storage inside this four door Victorian mahogany inverted breakfront sideboard c.1860. A single drawer above a double door cupboard flanked on either side by pedestal cupboards each fitted with drawers and slides. Edwardian Mahogany Pedestal Desk.

Just as practical today as the day it was made, this Edwardian mahogany pedestal desk has been restored, repolished and fitted with a new leather and is ready to grace its new owners office. Panelled and polished on all sides so it can stand in the middle of a room, with original handles and a key supplied to operate the locks in all nine drawers.

Early 19th.c. Windsor Chair.

A good period chair is a great way of giving an antique accent to a room even if the rest of the furniture is modern. Here is a fine example of the classic low back Windsor chair dating from the early years of the 19th.c. Made of ash and elm with original pierced back splat, shaped 'crinoline' stretcher and turned front spindles.

This small pale oak Arts and Crafts style sideboard with rack c.1900 is a new arrival here this afternoon. A good commercial size (just 5' wide) and colour, with enough Arts and Crafts styling without being overpowering. The little led light cupboard in the top is an original feature.
