A couple of interesting new bits of oak fresh in today. First up is this late Georgian oak' mule chest' c.1800. Just as a mule is a cross between a donkey and a horse, so the mule chest is a cross between a coffer and a chest of drawers, featuring storage beneath the lift up lid as well as five drawers (below two dummy fronts). Original throughout and good colour and condition.
Dimensions: width 55", depth 21", height 33"
£1295.
Also new today is this very useful oak chest of drawers from the same period. Two drawers over three, brass swan neck handles, oak panelled sides and just 35"wide. In need of a little restoration I shall post again when it is out on the floor.
