Georgian Night Table & Bed Step c.1790.

A superb piece of Georgian bedroom furniture. A late 18th.c. mahogany night table with tray top, cupboard and concealed bedstep. With prodigiously shaped frieze on both sides and front. Beds of the period were rather higher off the floor, apparently necessitating the use of bedsteps which come in a variety of styles and designs.
An unusual piece in fine condition having been repolished in our workshop.
