Regency Sideboard c.1820.

This wonderful Regency serving sideboard c.1820 is new on the shop floor today. With original handles, flame mahogany veneers and unusual turned and reeded legs. Excellent colour and condition having been restored and repolished in our workshops.

Mahogany Roll Top Desk c.1900.

New for today is this unusual mahogany roll top desk c.1900. With a good interior fitted with 12 drawers, pigeon holes and pen slides above drawer pedestals. chamfered panelled sides and back, working tambour in good condition, original lock and key supplied.

Late 18th.c. Oak Mule Chest.

The highlight of this morning's new arrivals is this unusually complete late 18th.c. oak mule chest c.1790. With a superb shaped frieze below the drawers and original feet which retain their length and molding - usually lost on furniture of this period. Oak sides, shaped at the base, original brass and original back and floor boards.

Oak Dining Chairs.

A couple of interesting new bits of stock for this morning's blog. First up is this useful collection of 10 early 19th.c. Welsh oak cottage dining chairs. Some variation in colour an construction but all of similar age and proportions.

Red Leather Sofa and Armchairs.

These three large button back leather armchairs and matching two seater sofa in oxblood red are new in the shop this afternoon. Made in England by Tetrad, genuine leather with feather cushions, straight legs and stretchers in mahogany. Excellent colour and condition.

Late 19th.c. Walnut Hall Wardrobe. c.1890.

This late 19th.c. red walnut hall wardrobe is a new arrival here at the shop this afternoon. An unusual design incorporating cupboards, shelves and drawers, it carries all its original handles and a maker's label by the Leeds manufacturer Hummerston Brothers.





Oak Pedestal Desk c.1900.

It's something of an embarrasment of riches here at the shop as far as pedestal desks goes (see recent posts). Here is another, newly restored and out on the shop floor today. Edwardian oak single piece pedestal desk. Panelled sides and back, new leather top, one period replacement handle.

Leather Chesterfield Sofa.

Another superb piece of leather upholstery for this afternoon's blog (see recent posts for some great leather armchairs). This time its the classic buttoned leather chesterfield club sofa. Excellent condition with soft leather worn to an excellent colour and patina.

Unusual Pair Oak Refectory Tables.

Hot off the van this afternoon and in need of a little restoration is this unusual pair of late 19th.c. golden oak refectory tables. Superb quality and construction.
Dimensions: length 76" x depth 27" x height 31".

Unusual mid 19th.c. two door chiffonier side cabinet c.1870, with serpentine front top above flat door fronts. Excellent flame mahogany veneers , good colour and condition having been repolished in our workshop.

Mid 19th.c. Pedestal Desk.

Fresh on the shop floor this afternoon after being restored and repolished in the workshop is this useful mid 19th.c. mahogany pedestal desk c.1870. With a gallery on the top to prevent pens and papers sliding off. Splits into two pedestals and the top for ease of delivery.

1930's Art Deco Limed Oak Suite.

New for today this unusual Art Deco limed oak dressing table, chair and bedside chest of drawers /cabinet c.1930. With moving electrical sconces either side of the mirror, carved and coloured Art Deco detailing and hinged pockets on the side of the dressing table. A great mid-century look in the manner of Heals, unfortunately we have not been able to identify the manufacturer.

Red Leather Armchairs.

Its seems like a long time since we had any leather armchairs in stock but today we have acquired two splendid pairs. First are a pair of really excellent quality regency style button back mahogany framed armchairs. Approximately 30 years old, the leather is in superb condition and has achieved a very attractive patina.
Also shown here and new in today are a substantial pair of Edwardian leather 'club' chairs. In original leather, now beautifully worn and distressed and with good ball and claw feet.

Edwardian Mahogany Bookcase.

It's unusual for things to arrive here at the shop in such beautiful condition as this large Edwardian mahogany side cabinet. Apart from damage to one of the toes on its claw feet it needed only a dust off to go on the shop floor. Adjustable shelves, keys supplied.

Elegant Berger Suite.

A new arrival here at the shop late last night was this wonderful quality, early 20th.c. two seater sofa and matching pair of armchairs. An unusual and elegant shaped and carved frame in oak, double berger panels to the sides and back and very clean neutral upholstery.

Mid 19th.c. Mahogany Triple Wardrobe.

New for today this large mid 19th.c. three door mahogany wardrobe c.1870. With superb quality flame mahogany veneers, especially to the door panels. Ample hanging space behind the centre and right hand doors whilst the left hand side is fitted with slides and a single deep drawer for shoes.
Great colour and condition having been restored and repolished in our workshops. Key supplied.
