Liberty & Co Sideboard.

Another superb quality large sideboard by one of the great names of late 19th.c British furniture design (see previous post). This time it is by Liberty & Co, the hugely influential furniture manufacturers and retailers founded by Arthur Lasenby Liberty in 1875. Large oak serving sideboard c.1880 with well carved panels and edging and extravagant original brass work. Two oak lined drawers above a display recess with cupboards below and extra cupboard space to each end. Clearly stamped Liberty & Co on the locks. Exceptional quality and great condition having been restored and repolished in our workshops.
