Edwardian Oak Filing Cabinet.

I think I have written before about how much I like the office furniture produced in the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. Typically in pale or medium oak, very robustly made with quality brass fittings, it was certainly built to last. Compare it to the quality of standard modern office furniture and it seems to speak of a time when faith in the business world was considerably stronger than it is now!
This Edwardian filing cabinet is a prime example of what I mean. 16 drawers in oak with panelled sides and original brass card holder handles. Great colour and condition having been restored and repolished in our workshops. It is ready for another 100 years of service.
Dimensions: 28", depth 15", height 42".
