After a brief hiatus something special for the blog today. Newly arrived this afternoon and purchased locally this superb Welsh oak Cwpwrdd Deuddarn. Good small size with well shaped panels and unique tassle droppers on the hood. Typically for a piece of this age the hinges and some of the brass has been replaced, otherwise in remarkable original condition with original oak floor, back boards, drawer linings and shaped shelf in the base. Excellent colour.
